This contract is intended to provide information on the services that have been booked and agreed upon and outlines both parties’ rights and obligations. Please read carefully through this contract before signing.
Description of Services: The Photographer will provide photography services in Cardiff on the day(s) specified by the Client. This includes the Photographer’s time, talent, and use of professional equipment, taking photos of their chosen subjects or locations. These photos will be provided in digital format, via an online gallery.
Booking Fee: Where applicable, a non-refundable £50 booking fee must be paid by the customer at the time of booking, and is required to secure the photographer’s availability for the session. If payment is not received within 48 hours of booking, the appointment may be cancelled.
Shoot Location & Time: The location and time of the shoot are decided mutually between both parties. The Client is responsible for any associated fees such as those required for travel or parking, which must be covered in advance by either party before the start of the shoot. If other individuals will be included in some of your photos with you (such as family members), please let us know when you book your appointment so we can make sure everyone is prepared accordingly.
Cancellation/No-Show Policy: If a customer needs to cancel or reschedule a session, they must notify Cardiff Photographers at least 24 hours prior to their scheduled appointment time. Furthermore, if a customer is more than 15 minutes late for their appointment without prior notification, the photographer reserves the right to cancel the shoot and keep the booking fee as compensation for lost time. If a client does arrive late, we may still choose to complete part or all of their photoshoot depending on other commitments we may have on that day – this decision will remain solely at our discretion based on our availability at that point in time. If the appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, we expect 50% of the photographer’s fee to be paid to cover his expenses and time.
Image Rights & Usage: All images produced during your photoshoot shall remain the property of Cardiff Photographers but limited usage rights shall be granted to you upon receipt and full payment for prints/digital files from this photoshoot only. Any use beyond these limits requires written permission from Cardiff Photographers via an additional duplication fee agreement according to standard industry practices and accepted copyright laws.
Photographer’s Responsibility: The photographer will assist in choosing appropriate clothing and poses if requested by customers; however they cannot guarantee that every photograph will be satisfactory due to variables such as weather conditions and natural light levels on location. Customers acknowledge that they are solely responsible for scheduling enough time within their session so that they can achieve satisfactory results based on their desired outcomes.
Client Responsibility: It is important for customers to arrive at their appointments prepared with parking information if necessary, makeup/wardrobe choices if desired, and any props or backdrops needed for photo sessions held on location. Customers should also arrive with ideas regarding what types of photos they would like taken during their session so that they can maximise their allotted time with creative direction from the photographer.
Jurisdiction & Dispute Resolution: This agreement shall be governed by English law and it is agreed that any disputes arising under this agreement shall be subject to resolution before a court located in England having jurisdiction over such matters.
By booking our services, you agree that these terms are acceptable; you also agree that it constitutes an agreement between both parties per all relevant UK laws pertaining specifically to photographic services rendered by professional photographers in regard to depositing booking fees prior to shooting sessions, cancellations due to late arrivals/non-arrivals, ownership/usage rights regarding final images produced during said sessions, etc., with London’s High Court serving as governing jurisdiction should any disputes arise requiring legal action between both parties involved in said contracted session(s).
